Growing Area

Our Growing Area includes vegetable beds, fruit beds, a herb bed, our Poly-tunnel and it is also home to our Hen House and pen. The children help to plant, water, weed and harvest fruit and vegetables in this area.

Fruit, Vegetable and Herb Beds...

In our vegetable beds, we grow onions, spring onions, green beans, lettuce, carrots, parsnips, broccoli, radish and pumpkins. In our fruit beds, we grow raspberries, strawberries, redcurrants and blackcurrants. In our herb bed, we grow oregano, mint, chives, sage, parsley and dill. The children can use these in their learning as well as enjoy eating these and taking them home to share.

Poly-tunnel...

Our poly-tunnel creates the perfect environment for growing tomatoes, green peppers, cucumbers, courgettes and chilli peppers. Again, the children can use these in their learning and take them home to share.
