Maths

In Years 1 to 6, we follow the KS1 KS2 National Curriculum document.

We block the units to enable children to follow the progression in the objectives. Number and Place Value, Addition and Subtraction and Multiplication and Division objectives are then revisited throughout the year through weekly Fluency and Arithmetic lessons as well as being applied in other units such as Measurement and Statistics.

Reasoning and Problem Solving happens throughout units, with a strong emphasis on discussion to formulate ideas and to understand contexts.
