Physical Education
We aim to have a high-quality physical education curriculum that inspires all pupils to succeed and excel in competitive sport and other physically demanding activities.
We strive to provide opportunities for pupils to become physically confident in a way which supports their health and fitness. Opportunities to compete in sport and other activities build character and help to embed values such as fairness and respect.
At All Saints' we follow the National Curriculum guidelines for PE.
All children have quality PE every week and, in addition, Year 3 children go swimming.
Games are developed during playtime and lunchtime and children have access to equipment during these times including football cages, climbing walls, keep-fit equipment and a tyre park. Our extensive school field offers many opportunities for children to run and play.
We take part in inter-school activities and events and run an extensive after-school programme.
Our Academy Kitchen provides fresh, quality meals each day to inspire healthy eating.
Our Physical Education curriculum is also developed through our whole school values, our Science curriculum and our Relationships and Health Education curriculum.
